Sakura suspects that a card may have something to do with the unseasonable snow. Sakura goes strawberry picking with a plan to make sweets. Suddenly, she finds herself trapped inside a building with Tomoyo, Syaoran and Meiling.

Dizzy with fever on a rainy day, Sakura uses the Mirror card to make a double of herself so she can handle another card. But Toya knows better.

Strange things happen when Sakura and her friends head into town. Toya and Yukito appear at Tokyo Tower even though they should be somewhere else.

Meiling decides to go back to Hong Kong. Sakura suggests a plan to Meiling and Syaoran when the Twin card proves difficult to capture.

Sakura goes to cheer for Yukito at his archery competition and learns from Kero that she is almost done collecting all of the Clow Cards. Kero returns to his true form after the final card is captured, but Sakura is not in a celebratory mood. She asks Syaoran about Yue, who soon appears. Sakura is unable to attack Yue during the Final Judgment and is captured by the Wood card. Failure means calamity will be unleashed upon the world. The new master of the Clow Cards, Sakura, begins a new semester at school.

But now she must learn to transform the cards into "Sakura Cards. Feeling something is amiss, Sakura heads out again under the rainy sky as a Cardcaptor. Sakura consults Syaoran about her inability to use magic. But when the Water attacks Sakura and her friends, she is still unable to activate her wand.

Sakura transforms her key into a new wand with a new spell, but she also needs to transform her cards when she uses magic. Tomoyo is in trouble! Sakura goes to the craft store with Eriol. She later senses Clow and heads to the park with her friends, but Syaoran suddenly starts attacking Sakura!

Later, a piece of paper falls out of the bear. Sakura is exhausted from transforming her cards, but Syaoran calls her about a giant hole in the park. Sensing Clow from within, she enters. When she touches a leaf that Eriol gave her, she gets sucked into the book's world. But Spinel suddenly goes wild after eating sweets.

Syaoran and Sakura get trapped in an elevator on their way back from a teddy bear exhibit. When a hole opens up, she falls through and Syaoran panics. Everyone gathers at the park when they sense Clow. Nothing happens, but Kero and Yue suddenly become unable to revert back into their false forms.

They find a ball bouncing by itself and chase after it. Meiling comes to Japan to visit Syaoran, who has an important message. A bunch of stone penguins attack Sakura and her friends as they walk home. Sakura promises to meet Toya to go Christmas shopping for their father. But when Sakura senses Clow after school, she sends the Mirror instead. Sakura and her family bump into Tomoyo and her mother at the shrine.

At night, the Clow Book and the fortune Sakura drew at the shrine start to glow. Sakura and her friends visit an indoor water park. A huge wave overtakes the pool as Sakura and the others try to save a friend who is new to swimming. Sakura goes on a ski trip with her class and gets on a lift with Eriol. It starts to snow harder and harder until it finally results in an avalanche.

Sakura finally confesses her feelings to Yukito at his high school festival, but she has to run off to deal with Clow when she senses him nearby.

Suddenly, a horse comes galloping towards them! In Cardcaptor Sakura , there were a number of romantic relationships or romantic feelings between many of the characters. Some of these relationships and crushes, however, were between younger and older characters. These relationships were removed in the dubbed version. Cardcaptor Sakura has a total of 70 episodes and two movies. The length of this series helps develop both the storyline and the characters, which is essential for fans to become invested and fall in love with the series.

However, the dubbed version, Cardcaptors, only has a total of 38 episodes and begins in a whole new way. By cutting the series almost in half, the producers removed much of Sakura's screentime, ostensibly turning one of Sakura's male friends, Li Shaoran, into a secondary protagonist instead of just a supporting character to make the show more appealing to a male demographic.
